Before signing up for this service, please be aware of the following changes to your email:
  • You will have estimated 95% spam-free email.
  • You will have virus protected email.
  • You will have a faster email service.
  • You will have the option to browse your xspam folder for possible legitimate messages via a the squirrel mail interface(http://qmail.ocis.net).
  • Your email address does not change.

  • You will only have to change 1 setting in your mail package.
  • You will have a 30MB size limit and a 2000 message limit on your inbox. Increasing your mailbox limits is possible, Please call for details and prices.
  • We are currently automating the registration process for new accounts. When you submit your information it will create a new account in qmail with everthing ready to go automatically.   • Some additional considerations
  • RBL filters(X-RBL-Warning:(rdns))(X-RBL-Warning:)etc. will only work @ the squirrel mail level.(will not come into effect on third party mail programs)
  • All messages deemed spam are kept in an xspam directory associated with your squirrel mail account. This folder and the trash folder have all mail automatically cleared that is 7 days old. It is a good idea to log into this program (http://qmail.ocis.net) every so often to check this folder for false positives(mail that has been tagged as spam that maybe should not have been.)
  • Blacklist and Whitelist entries set up in squirrel mail do work with your third party email programs.
  • Additional spam protection can be set up with third party spam protection software(mail washers) to further enhance your spam protection.
  • Please note that while we are doing everything we can to reduce the amount of spam that you receive there are currently no programs we are aware of that are fool proof. Some spam may still arrive in your inbox.

    Your real name will be the name that gets sent along with any messages sent from squirrel mail. This could also be a company name if you prefer
    OCIS Username:
    Your username is the beginning of your email address at ocis.net without the @mail.ocis.net and with no capital letters.(ex:john@ocis.net your username is john.)Please note: that this won't be your virtual email address but the email address it is directed to.
    Password:
    Please supply your current password and if you wish you can log onto qmail later to change it.
